Needless to say, this move has been a little tough...socially. Not because the people here aren't totally friendly and fun, I really can't wait to get to know them more, it's mostly because I don't know what is out there for me and the kids to go see. We do get out and we have fun every once in awhile, maybe it's because we don't have a yard anymore but the kids are together inside A LOT! Their fighting has successfully dug itself deep into my skin and their screaming (they like to do this simultaneously) is driving me crazy. GOOD NEWS! I feel like this week we have been super blessed because, well they still fight, but they have been so happy! I don't know why but Dallin has been really whiny and this week he has been super happy. I am very grateful, it makes this whole thing a ton easier.
Some cute moments:
We were running by a house and the gates had balloons and 'Happy Birthday' signs. Dallin asked "Are they going to have a party?" I reply, "Yes, it looks that way (breathing heavy)." Then he asks, "Do you think it will be a superhero party?" I reply, "I'm not sure." He exclaims, "It's going to be a GREAT party!"
"Mom is dad going to be late for work again?" or "Is dad going to sleep in his bed tonight?" It's so cute how he worries about Chad.
We visited Chad at work and he seemed stressed. When Chad went back inside, I said to Dallin, Dad is pretty stressed out, I think he is having a hard day. Dallin folded his arms and blessed his daddy. It was precious!
"MOM! There is another conbertible!!" He has now distinguished cars with and cars without tops!
Jocelyn
She is usually very happy unless Dallin takes her to the ground, Dallin takes her toys, Dallin throws the huge exercise ball at her and knocks her flat, or she doesn't get food when she wants (an EATER!)
For learning time this week we are learning about longer/shorter, same/different...anyway. I have some workbooks that Dallin has really liked for a few months and the directions say to circle the two (out of four) that match. They were really distracted so I took them to our shoe closet and took out four shoes (one match and two mismatches) and they had to tell me which ones matched and which ones were different. They both really got it and thought it was fun because they were looking at mom and dad's shoes. Well, tonight Jocey opened the door to our closet and was taking out shoes and asking Dallin if they matched. IT WAS SOOOOO CUTE! She is a little smarty pants.
She is really into coloring and will just sit on her bed and color for a long time.
Bad thing: Jocey lies and says she has to go potty to get out of things she doesn't want to do like going to bed, sacrament meeting, stake conference, nap time...
