Life is rolling too fast for me and I just can't seem to keep up, which doesn't make a ton of sense because I am not as busy as usual...
Did you know school starts TOMORROW? Well, I do now.
We scrambled for a bit but the kids are tucked in bed and ready for the big day tomorrow (can someone please tell me where the summer went and why my kids are growing up so fast).
Now here is what has been happening at our house.
My parents came back to CA with us at the beginning of the month and we had fun spending time with them. Our proximity to Stanford is very convenient for medical purposes but we enjoy the campus's beauty as well. The kids and I finally got to go inside the nondenominational church on campus and we wanted to show my parents.

Dallin measured everything but I drew the line when we went to the Art Museum that is full of naked statues.

This very sweet and amazing woman has befriended our family and she spends a lot of time with Dallin and Jocey.
The other day Jocey asked her, "Can you ask my mom if you can adopt us?" I am still trying to decide if that makes me feel bad or not. Probably not.:)

Lucy got her very first hair-cut, it was a long time coming and she doesn't look any different but her hair feels better. She thought it was fun.
*Jackie, she loves these p.j.'s that your girls gave her:)

The main reason my parents came was to attend Angela and Thomas' reception here in CA. Did you know that we are (I mean, were:() in the same ward as Thomas' parents? Well, we were and many people are still putting that puzzle together. They met the first summer Angela stayed with us.
Lucy was very, very happy to see Angela and Thomas. After she saw them she asked Thomas to kiss her and he said he couldn't, he wasn't feeling very well (and he had a mask on). She replied, "Thomas, take off your mask." She really wanted to kiss him.

She was in heaven looking beautiful and holding Angela in her wedding dress, we have talked about it so much and she was very excited about their reception. She repeated the entire night, "hold Angela". We had to wait until all of the guests congratulated her so they could hold each other.

Lucy got to spend a lot of time with Grandpa. She loves her grandparents so much and she has so much fun playing with them and bossing them around. She wanted to go back to Idaho with them. It is hard to really explain how adorable Lucy is so it is fun to let those we love spend time with her and get to know her better.

This picture is when Lucy asked to hold a cookie and she tried to eat it-when I wasn't looking, of course! It was scary but she didn't try to swallow any, she actually pushed it out of her mouth. Little stink, she was very proud of her mischief and the panic she caused me:)

Not sure what to say about this, maybe here is Jocey wearing her green dress, again, along with some random accessory. So glad she has new school clothes so she can be excited to wear something besides this.

Lucy's new favorite pass time, reading books "all by myself".

Lucky for you, that is all the pictures I have on my camera. Since you made it to the bottom of this post, I will treat you to today's feature story.
First Sunday in our new ward, I am holding Lucy on one side of D and J and Chad is sitting on the other side of D and J. I pull out a syringe of green food to give to Lucy. The syringe is tight and so I ask Chad to slowly push the food through Lucy's G-tube. The syringe is super tight and as Chad pushes it slides and then sticks causing pressure to build and then "boom" green blenderized explosion all over the entire family (faces, clothes, hair), except for Chad. Everyone leaves to the bathroom to clean up. Apparently, our faces were timeless because Chad couldn't stop laughing, in fact, he is still laughing about it. Jocey was really nervous about going to the new ward and the whole incident put her over the edge, "Mom, why did you marry him?" Hahahaha.
