Inventions

We have bugs going through our house and there is never a good time for that. Surprisingly enough, the kids aren't sick this time...it's me. Well, Lucy had some things going on but she is now on antibiotics and healing fast, I just really hope she doesn't get what I've got. I was laying on the couch and Jocey brought out her 'inventions' that would help contain my germs. I will share a small portion of the video...

Either Jocey is going to make it big in life or she is going to be a germ freak...maybe both.

*Oh, ya and Lucy is whining because she wants to hold me...all the time, poor girl. I can't wait to feel better.

Gone! Completely Gone!

All of the pictures I have taken over the last two weeks just disappeared off of my camera right before my eyes! It's a good thing I am trying to not use explicit words in my language because I would've used one right then.

I will try to not let that bog me down.

Maybe we can just use our imagination.

There was a picture of Lucy in her stander with Dallin and Jocey playing by her side. Lucy demands me to put her in her stander several times a day. Her PT is very impressed with Lucy's new and improved leg extension, it has improved greatly.

Another picture was Lucy playing "beads". She takes them out of a bowl and drops them into a glass jar...she loves the sound it makes. While she was playing beads, Jocey was dancing dramatically around her with her ballet outfit on holding a bubble wand so bubbles were floating all around them...oh it was so cute!

There were several pictures of our beautiful CA evenings at the park, Lucy swinging with Chad and Dallin sliding down the play structure and there was one of me and Lucy going down the slide.

There was also a picture of Jocey wearing one of Chad's old Scout shirts, it was kind of big-like a dress but she had cowboy boots on so it was a complete outfit. She said she is a fashion girl.

There was also a digital image of Dallin's new reading scores. After hours and hours of reading (and patience) he has improved many levels. He is a hard worker.

There were also "before" pictures of me and Chad. We bought a new scale (we broke the other one- ha!). We are now on a diet of not eating anything, it's going REALLY well! I probably wouldn't have posted those though, that's just really tacky.

I thought this exercise would cool me down but I am still really mad about these pictures!

Overheard

I made a butternut squash soup. I thought it was pretty good and I think Chad thought it was good... Dallin told me it contaminated his breadsticks...

Jocey: My taste buds are sending signals to my brain and my brain says... (squinting and shrugging her shoulders) it is kind of good and it's kind of gross.

Me: Still No.

Me: Lucy, why are you so cute?
Lucy: I know (I don't know).

Me: Lucy, where is Jocey?

Hope Calendar

I have 10 Hope Calendar's to sell. The adorable calendar's are $10.00 each and 100% goes to the GSF. You can contact me at cherisse{dot}lunt{at}gmail{dot}com.

Hurry, February is creeping up on us!

*My sweet mother said that if I don't hurry and sell them, she will sell them for me and she just had 2 surgeries so I don't want her to do that! Or I will just buy them all (because I am not sending them back).

Count Lucy

Lucky for me I got a new video editor. Not-so-lucky for you, you get to see my amateur work on a very unfamiliar (to me) program. Wait, you don't even have to watch, but you will want to!

This little warrior girl surprises me daily with the things she learns and does.

She runs.

Lucy woke up early this morning so she got to watch me run and now she wants to run.

As you can see, Lucy is too big for her wagon, her custom basket for her stroller is almost finished so we can use it. Yea!!

Santa's Elves

A few days after Christmas, we discovered a gift at our front door. It was from Santa's Elves.

Santa's Elves know our kids very well, they brought Weasley's Lego Home.

It, along with the castle and Quidditch set, has provided hours and hours of entertainment.

Jocey plays along as well (especially now that I hid her American Girl Doll for a few weeks, who brushes a doll's hair so much that it's head falls off???) and I have even seen some romance between Ron and Hermoine, created by Jocey.

This is the best thing that has happened to Dallin since he received his acceptance letter from Hogwarts! (Yes, I know... he says that it "just showed up"... I would've believed him but the letter was written in his handwriting)

Thank you Santa's Elves, whoever you are!!

Toddler

Lucy will probably never color on my walls, or my carpet, but yesterday

she got my table.

When I discovered it she giggled.

Overheard

Jocey and Dallin are intrigued by how Chad and I met, dated and got married. We tell them the stories, re-tell them stories and answer their bazillion questions.
Jocey: Mom, what did you look like when you met Dad in your dance class?
Me: A lot like I do now but I was skinnier and my hair was a little longer.
Jocey: How much longer?
Me: About (this) much longer.
Jocey: Oh, did you have zits when he first saw you?
Me: Probably.
Jocey: How many zits did you have?
Me: Ummm, 5? (It was a wild guess)
Jocey: How could he marry you with zits on your face?
Don't worry, I still have a little self-confidence left-over. Maybe I will shuffle through some pictures to show her that I didn't look that bad...attractive enough to get married anyway.
